How to make ringtones

Are you getting tired of the same old standard Nokia ringtone ringing all the time on your cell phone? I can understand your dilemma. These old ringtones get tiresome, boring, and we often wish that there was just another one! Well, now you can make your own ringtone using your favorite MP3 file!
All you need for making your own ringtone is a cell phone that supports custom MP3s, a way to transfer the MP3 to your phone, and a sound editing software called Audacity.
What Audacity will do is make the song into a real ringtone by shortening the MP3 into a 20 second segment. You could just set the entire song as your ringtone, but there are a few problems with doing it that way. First, this uses more memory than a 20 second segment. Second, you might not want the beginning of the song for your ringtone, you may want the chorus or the second verse.
Audacity will allow you to edit the song down to a 20 second song. This will save memory, help you get the exact ringtone you want, and will save you a ton of money on ringtones! And one of the best things about Audacity is that it is simple and easy to use, so you won’t have to worry about it being confusing or hard. Just follow the simple instructions on Audacity to edit your ringtone, and then just go through the motions you have done a million times to upload the MP3 to your cell phone! It is very simple, and I am sure you will be glad you did it. Stop spending tons of money on new ringtones. Turn your MP3 files into as many ringtones as you want by using Audacity!
