You will need candle wax. In the craft store, there are a lot of candle waxes that you can choose from, beeswax among them. You can also choose from the different colors that you can find there.

There are also a lot of molds to choose from, so take your time to choose the mold that you will be using. Make sure that the mold reflects the personality of the person who will receive the gift.

You also need to purchase wicks as well as fragrances. For fragrances, you can choose the favorite scent of the person you will be giving your candle to.

Candle Making Process

How to Make Candles 3In an old pot, add some water before placing another smaller pot on top of it. This is where you will melt your candle wax, and this technique is called double boiler technique. This technique melts your wax but does not scorch it. A scorched wax will give you flaky candles or candles that did not form well. As the wax is melting and boiling, prepare your mold.

Place the wick in the center of the mold, and to hold it up and keep it in the center, you can tie the end of the wick to a stick and place the stick on top of the mold. This will keep the wick in place when you pour in the melted wax.

Once the wax has melted, add in your scent and stir. Quickly pour the scented melted wax into the mold because the wax easily hardens. Clean any spilled wax off the mold and let it rest until the candle hardens.
